Wave in waiting
Wavelet, gentle wavelet
Don’t call yourself
a wave yet.
The Mediterranean
is calm today
No hint of wind,
blows your way.
And you have to be brave
to call yourself
a real wave.
Rolling, roaring and tumbling
ride the tide in.
Just be content
to gently
lap the hard pebble shore
and wait for that
scirocco
wind, racing to lift you up,
white foam blowing,
to lift you up
once again.
I really enjoyed this. Good to see you writing 🙂
Thank you Esther. Last Friday I gave a 10 minute reading at the Poestate festival in Lugano – They asked me back next year 🙂
How are you?
Wow! Great to hear about your reading and being asked to go back. Brilliant. you must have impressed!
I’m very well, thank you. I’ve got an e-book of my award winning short stories coming out in the next couple of weeks so I’ve been busy with that but it’s all good fun.
Take care 🙂
Excellent news; you must let me know, I’ll be first in line.
Thanks, Chris. Likewise, please let me know how all your writing goes. I’m always really interested and like to read it 🙂
Speaking of which, my course needs attention 🙂
